The Miles Davis Movie: Best song/movie scene combination

Great list via The Mental Defective League about the Top 15 Uses of Song in a Movie

There’s obviously other excellent examples in cinema history, but their 15 are pretty darn good. I’d say that the #4 selection of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” from Malcolm X is probably my #1; just a remarkable blend of sight and sound.

Here’s hoping one day a scene from the Miles Davis biopic will make it’s way onto such a list. Lord knows there’s enough great music from Miles Davis to use in the movie. The whole biopic will revolve around music, of course, but I wonder if there’s one track that would be ideal for a ‘great’ scene or montage – one that would end up on a superb list like the one above.
